Your Impact
Precision Drafting: Produce clear 2D schematics, elevations, and coordinated 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
From Rough to Refined: Interpret sketches, engineering notes, and redlines to deliver fully constructible documents.
Cross-Discipline Alignment: Partner with architects, engineers, and project managers to confirm intent and constructability.
Error Prevention: Scrutinize dimensions, materials, and tolerances to eliminate costly mistakes.
Documentation Discipline: Uphold standards for layers, line weights, styles, annotations, and sheet sets.
Change Management: Turn around updates quickly and track approved client/field modifications.
Information Stewardship: Maintain organized libraries within BIM, PLM, and internal file-sharing systems.
What You’ll Need
Toolset Proficiency: High-level command of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation.
Spatial IQ: Ability to visualize complex 3D conditions and accurately document them in 2D.
Standards & Codes: Familiarity with drafting conventions and applicable ASME/ANSI/local building codes.
Math & Metrology: Confident with geometric calculations, dimensioning, and GD&T.
Detail-First Mindset: Exacting approach to line work, notes, and scale.
Clear Communication: Comfortable discussing blueprint adjustments with technical teams.
Time Mastery: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Qualifications
Associate degree, technical certificate, or diploma in Drafting, CAD Design, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of drafting experience in manufacturing, construction, or engineering environments.
Portfolio with 3–5 examples demonstrating practical technical drawing expertise.
Bonus: ADDA certification or Autodesk badges.
Compensation & Growth
Pay Range: $80,000–$120,000, informed by regional data and experience.
