CAD/CAM CNC Programmer–Machinist (Tooling)

Location: North Prairie, WI

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

What you’ll do

• Generate precise toolpaths from 3D models to drive CNC machining
• Design, plan, and build fixturing to ensure accuracy and repeatability
• Set up and operate CNC equipment to manufacture precision tooling
• Select cutting tools, set offsets, and optimize speeds/feeds
• Confirm part conformity using precision measuring tools
• Maintain throughput while protecting quality standards
• Safely operate CNC machines, shop equipment, and forklifts
• Hand off completed tooling to the Tooling Specialist for final benching and rigging
• Assist the Tooling Specialist and Shop Assistant as needed
• Keep the work area orderly and follow all safety procedures

Your background

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Post-secondary education in CNC Machining, Tool & Die, Tool Making, or similar (preferred)
• Relevant CNC machining experience (preferred)

• Solid CNC setup and operation capabilities
• Familiarity with CAD and toolpath/CAM software
• Comfortable with computers and manufacturing software

• Willingness to take on broader shop responsibilities
• Ability to provide basic personal tools for machining

Physical demands

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
