Design & Modeling: Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and red-lined documents. Create and maintain mechanical area layouts.
P&ID & Documentation: Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), schematics. Follow and contribute to mechanical design “Best Practices”.
BOM & Sourcing: Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and source mechanical components according to selection standards.
Change Management: Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process documentation.
Manufacturing Support: Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues as needed.
Project Support: Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications and design reviews.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries (Semiconductor equipment experience is a plus).
Associate’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (CSWA/CSWP preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D). Experience with Agile/PLM systems is a plus.
Strong ability to read and create/edit P&IDs, schematics, and other product documentation.
Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.
