Overview Position: CAD Designer / Engineer (Cabinets & Furniture) – On-siteLocation: On-siteHourly Rate: Competitive, based on experience and portfolioWe are seeking a skilled CAD Designer/Engineer with experience in custom cabinets and furniture design . The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD modeling , preferably using SolidWorks or Fusion 360 , and capable of producing accurate DWG and ANC files ready for CNC manufacturing.You will work closely with our team to turn design concepts and shop drawings into production-ready files, ensuring precision, efficiency, and manufacturability. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of woodworking joinery and assembly, and the ability to optimize designs for production.Responsibilities Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for cabinets, furniture, and custom woodwork.Generate shop drawings, exploded views, and renderings for approval.Produce DWG and ANC files for CNC machining and manufacturing.Ensure all designs are optimized for accuracy, material efficiency, and structural integrity .Collaborate with the engineering and production team to refine designs as needed.Maintain organized file management for ongoing and completed projects.Qualifications Proficiency in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 (required).5+ years of CAD/CAM/CNC experience.5+ years of management experience.Strong experience in cabinetry, furniture design, or woodworking .Ability to produce CNC-ready files (DWG, ANC, G-code preferred).Understanding of woodworking methods, joinery, and material specifications .Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team.Preferred Experience Prior work with custom millwork, residential or commercial cabinetry .Experience with CAM software and CNC operations.Knowledge of production workflows, BOMs, and nesting optimization .Proficient in Outlook, Excel and able to be trained in our in house ERP systemSeniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Design, Art/Creative, and Information TechnologyIndustries Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
