Job OverviewWorking within the Engineering department, reporting to the Design Engineering Manager or Lead Design Engineer, and working with guidance from the Design Engineering team, the CAD Designer I is responsible for product documentation in accordance with design plans.ResponsibilitiesModify and create 3D CAD models and 2D drawingsApply GD&T, dimensions, and drafting standardsIncorporate redlines and engineering markupsSupport engineering by translating concepts into detailed designsCreates and modifies Bills-of-Materials in CAD and MRP/ERPManage drawing revisions and configuration controlEnsure drawing accuracy and completeness prior to releaseQualificationsEducation: Associate's degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design Technology, or related fieldExperience: 0-3 yearsKnowledge And Critical Skills / ExpertiseSolidWorks proficiency, creating models, assemblies and drawingsDrafting Standards & GD&TManufacturing Methods AwarenessEngineering Drawing InterpretationBill of Materials (BOM) StructureDocument Control and Revision PracticesWork Environmental And Physical DemandsMay be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controlsOvertime may be necessary as the workload dictates, including weekdays, weekends, nights and/or holidaysAbility to lift 25 lbs. may be requiredJob will generally be performed in an office environment, but may require travel to a client's office, production facility or industrial/construction job site. PPEs include face coverings, safety shoes, safety glasses, face shields, FR clothing, cryogenic gloves, cryogenic aprons, cut-resistant gloves, safety gloves, hearing protection, hard hats & dust masks.
