We are seeking a CAD Drafter in Carnegie, PA to create and modify detailed mechanical drawings and designs for industrial and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate will have experience using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and/or SolidWorks and be comfortable developing drawings for pipe, plate, structural steel, and mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities
-Create and modify 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or SolidWorks.
-Develop detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings for pipe, plate, structural steel, and mechanical components.
-Prepare detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and layouts.
-Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, measurements, and project requirements.
-Produce accurate dimensions, tolerances, weld symbols, material specifications, and other drawing details.
-Make revisions to existing drawings based on engineering or production changes.
-Work with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet design and project requirements.
-Collaborate with shop personnel and fabricators to ensure designs are practical and can be manufactured efficiently.
-Assist with developing 3D models, assemblies, and layouts when required.
-Maintain drawing files, revisions, and documentation in an organized manner.
-Review completed drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
-Provide drafting support throughout the design, fabrication, and installation process.
Qualifications
-Previous experience as a CAD Drafter, Mechanical Drafter, Detailer, or similar role.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and/or SolidWorks.
-Experience creating mechanical and fabrication drawings.
-Knowledge of pipe, plate, structural steel, and/or mechanical fabrication.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
-Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, materials, and fabrication methods.
-Ability to visualize components and assemblies in both 2D and 3D.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and shop personnel.
