CAD Drafter / Design Documentation Specialist - #26-14519

Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced CAD Drafter / Design Documentation Specialist to create, modify, and maintain detailed engineering drawings and documentation in support of product development and manufacturing operations.
• This role works closely with engineering teams to translate sketches, layouts, and design concepts into accurate CAD models and drawings while ensuring compliance with drafting standards, quality requirements, and engineering change processes.

Responsibilities:

• Create, revise, and maintain detailed CAD drawings and documentation.
• Develop drawings from engineering sketches, layouts, and design notes.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with drafting standards.
• Support design modifications to improve manufacturability and product quality.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Process and maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
• Manage drawing files, revisions, backups, and document storage.

Experience:

• 4–6 years of experience creating and modifying engineering drawings in a CAD environment.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering documentation practices.
• Experience interpreting engineering sketches, layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and revision control processes.
• Experience supporting ECN/ECR workflows and engineering documentation updates.
