CAD Drafter

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced CAD Drafter located in Hauppauge, NY. Our client is a building automation industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support the preparation and revision of construction drawings for life safety and low-voltage systems. This role is ideal for candidates with AutoCAD experience who are looking to build a long-term career in engineering design within the construction industry. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced design professionals to produce accurate technical drawings and project documentation.

Responsibilities

Create and revise construction drawings using AutoCAD.

Prepare floor plans, riser diagrams, electrical interconnection drawings, and installation termination drawings.

Update and maintain project drawing files and as-built documentation.

Assist in preparing project submittals, including product data sheets and battery calculations.

Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project requirements.

Maintain organized project documentation and support multiple projects simultaneously.

Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

1 5 years of professional AutoCAD drafting experience (AutoCAD 2014 or newer preferred).

Experience preparing construction drawings in a professional environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, onsite office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in electrical, mechanical, or low-voltage construction.

Familiarity with fire alarm, security, access control, or other life safety systems.

Experience reading and interpreting construction and electrical drawings.

Background supporting engineering firms, contractors, or system integrators.

Experience maintaining drawing revisions and project documentation.
