Drafters will require specific direction; engineers will check them. Engineers will be more self-sufficient and dictate to the drafters about the drawing needed and perform GDT.
Drafter/Designers that have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) (required), ideally with SolidWorks (preferred) experience.
Employees will be preparing formal engineering drawings on a drawing template under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Drawings will be created from on-hand parts, photographs, engineering sketches, and working prototype parts and assemblies, using a standard drawing template.
Typical parts will include mechanical components, electrical cables and connectors, and outline and installation drawings for electrical circuit card assemblies.
Drafter/designers will require some knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and experience with mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical parts and assemblies.
