Job Full Description

Express Employment is seeking a skilled CAD Draftsman with hands-on CNC programming experience. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take ownership of projects, and translate customer drawings into accurate,production-ready files.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and modify detailed CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor
  • Import and interpret customer PDF drawings, converting them to accurate, to-scale CAD files
  • Program laser and turret punch machines using Striker Systems and PEPS
  • Apply pattern tools, flat layouts, and bend allowances for sheet metal fabrication
  • Perform bend production math and ensure manufacturability
  • Support product development from concept through production
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Take charge of assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with shop floor and production teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Inventor
  • Experience with Striker and PEPS software
  • Working knowledge of laser and turret programming
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and schematics
  • Solid math skills related to bending, layouts, and tolerances
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • Proven experience in CAD drafting within construction, civil engineering, architecture, or mechanical design environments.
