CAD Operator

Auer Steel & Heating Supply Co. is a wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies. Known for our customer service and quality products, Auer Steel has been operating since 1940.

We are currently hiring a CAD Operator to work in our Milwaukee, WI location. This position is best suited for an organized, responsible, and detail-oriented individual who is looking for a career within a well-established company.

What Does This Position Do?

• Draft HVAC plans
• Piping diagrams
• Control diagrams
• Refrigeration diagrams under the direct supervision of the Design Engineer or Salesperson
• Backup Design Engineers in their absence to answer customer questions
• Prepare plans, loads, and appropriate paperwork for submittal to local and State agencies
• Prepare inspection packets for all submitted design projects
• Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive team-oriented attitude with and between departments and end users
• Travel to architects, contractors, or government agencies to pick up or drop off plans
• Other duties as assigned

What Is Required?

• Associates degree in CAD or HVAC or 1-2 years equivalent experience in Auto CAD or other 2D modeling systems
