CAD Technician

Position: CAD Technician

Compensation: $33 - $35 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Austin, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled CAD Technician to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity to work on natural gas utility engineering projects, transforming survey data and engineer markups into high-quality construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role is crucial in ensuring designs meet company standards and regulatory requirements. Join a collaborative team that values precision and innovation in utility design!

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Create and update natural gas utility design drawings
• Convert engineer redlines into complete drawing deliverables
• Integrate survey, GIS, and ROW data into design models
• Collaborate with engineers and developers to clarify design requirements
• Ensure compliance with drafting standards and regulations
• Maintain project files and version control
• Support plotting, printing, and digital submittals

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate's Degree or technical diploma in CAD or related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans and utility drawings
• Working knowledge of underground utility design
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience drafting for gas utilities
• Familiarity with SUE Quality Levels
• Knowledge of public ROW utility standards
• Experience in land development projects
• Knowledge of natural gas system construction methods
