We are seeking an experienced CADD Technician with expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD to support CADD operations across the firm. This role is responsible for developing CADD standards, optimizing design workflows, and supporting users at an advanced technical level to enable users to produce high-quality, consistent project deliverables. The applicant should be a motivated problem-solver who is eager to grow alongside our evolving technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Support of the firm’s CADD standards program, including:
- Templates, styles, labels, and annotation standards
- Layering systems, plot styles, page setups, and deliverable formats
- Block libraries, tool palettes, and reusable components
- Advanced technical support for Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Configuration, customization, and support of Civil 3D design workflows, including:
- Surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, and pipe networks
- Data Shortcuts and external references
- Support of CADD quality control processes and performance of drawing/model audits
- Support and administration of collaboration platforms such as Forma Design Collaboration (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC))
- Coordination with IT on:
- Software deployment and updates
- Hardware and system requirements
- Development and delivery of internal training, onboarding, and technical documentation
- Technical advisor to users regarding CADD strategies, efficiencies, and risk mitigation
- Evaluation and recommendation of new tools, workflows, and process improvements
Required Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of relevant experience
- Must have a high school diploma or State Equivalency Certificate
- Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- Extensive experience developing, implementing, and enforcing CADD standards
- Proven experience supporting civil engineering or infrastructure design teams
- Strong understanding of:
- Drawing and plan production standards
- Multi-user project environments
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex CADD and Civil 3D issues
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor's degree
- Prior experience as a CAD Manager, CADD Manager, or CADD Coordinator
- Experience with Forma Design Collaboration (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC))
- Knowledge of civil disciplines such as survey, roadway, utilities, drainage, and site design
- Autodesk certifications (Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD)
- Experience in creating enterprise CAD manuals or standards guides

The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $60,000.00 - $100,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
