Cafe Attendant GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION All stations are vital to the success of Victory Casino Cruise. Aim for friendliness, politeness, and cleanliness to ensure satisfaction. Each guest should leave feeling like a winner regardless of their gambling success. Ensure guests are greeted in a timely manner. Ensure guest satisfaction. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Obtain details and be knowledgeable of all daily specials and all food items on the Cafe menu, including possible allergens (i.e. nuts, etc.) and what dishes are Vegetarian or Vegan
- Ensure all tables are set. Prep self-service drink station’s, coffee, creamers, cups, sugar, stocked all sodas and coffee machines are set to “on”.
- Ensure guests are greeted in a timely manner. If covering the dining room obtain drink order, place beverage napkin indicating order was placed. Prepare drinks in a timely manner. Upon delivery of drinks to the table, service and cleanliness standards are to be maintained.
- Ensure guest satisfaction. If an issue arises, advise the manager or supervisor immediately.
- Monitor the floor for trash, napkins, food, or any guest items that may be left behind.
- Refill all condiments and supplies at the wait station between sails.
- Maintain visual assessment of dining area and seated tables.
- Routinely pull trash from all wait stations and take to 1st deck-port side crew area. Empty all cups before placing them in trash.
- Follow all health department safe food handling procedures.
- Upon Café closing, clean wait station, clean sinks (removing trash and straws), wipe down sink with soap and hot water, sweep and mop floor in wait stations.
- At the end of gaming, ensure all tables are cleared, chairs are pushed in and are clean. Check the AFT dining room if needed, with providing service to guests and cleaning up after guest leaves.
- Wipe down salt and pepper grinders, sugar caddies, mustard, ketchup, and mayonnaise bottles with clean sanitation cloth.
- Perform other related duties as requested by Food and Beverage supervisor and/or manager.
- All ice wells will be burned every Sunday night. Use bleach and hot water for ice wells and soda lines.
- All silverware in tubs will be polished and then rolled in blue linen napkins and stored in containers until used.
- Responsible Beverage, Food Handlers, and TIPS training on a quarterly basis.
SKILLS & ABILITIES - Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Requires a minimum of one year’s work experience in food service.

HOURS/SHIFTS - Due to our business demands, you must be flexible and able to work nights, weekends, special events, and holidays.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Victory Casino Cruises has a no visible tattoo policy. For this position you must be clear of all visible tattoos.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, background screening and credit check.
- You will be required to obtain a TWIC and MMC. Documents required to obtain badging are Passport OR Government issued photo ID and certified copy of Birth Certificate. Supporting documents would be needed for a name change. Please note that individuals with pending court cases or who are currently on probation will not qualify for badging approval.
