We''re seeking compassionate, service-oriented individuals to join our team as Café Attendants at our new cafe Food for Thought. In this role, you''ll do more than prepare food and beverages. You''ll help create a welcoming gathering place where Residents, families, guests, and Team Members can connect and enjoy exceptional hospitality.

Schedules:

• Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
• Shift times could be 7:00 AM-3:00 PM/8:00 AM-3:30 PM/10:00 AM-3:30 PM

Varies based on business needs and could include weekends and holidays

What You''ll Do

As a Café Attendant, you will help ensure a positive dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities include:

• Making coffee and setting up the café service line
• Preparing food for café operations and catering functions
• Determining café production needs and assisting with inventory and ordering
• Slicing deli meats and cheeses
• Preparing meat salads using standardized recipes
• Taking customer orders and assembling salads and sandwiches
• Operating the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Maintaining cleanliness of the deli counter, dining area, kitchen, and pantry
• Assisting with catering set-up and delivery
• Receiving and storing food items according to food safety guidelines
• Following Willow Valley Communities'' HACCP and food safety procedures
• Providing exceptional customer service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere
• Verifying identification for alcohol purchases when applicable
• Performing other duties as assigned

What We''re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and hospitality excellence
