Job Overview:
The Café Attendant plays a key role in operating the Cafe. The attendant will take care of residents in all aspects of the café with a smile. This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the cafe experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks along with prepackaged sandwiches, wraps, pizza and snacks.
- Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Cleaning service and seating areas
- Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
- Servicing customers and taking orders
- Receiving and distributing stock supplies
- Receiving and processing customer payments
- Stocking during shift as needed
- Helps guests with all aspects of the café
- Perform various other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year in a similar role preferred.
- Team player.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members.
- Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers, iPad, calculators, etc.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including Holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
- Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.
What We Offer:
As a part-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full supplemental benefits to include dental and vision. Occasional travel may be required to attend training and other company functions.
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 hourly
