Cafe Head Cook (Chef)

NU3S is seeking an experienced Head Chef to support the pre‑opening and launch of a high‑volume café in Queens, NY. This role begins part‑time prior to opening and transitions to full‑time (40 hours/week) upon launch. Looking for a head cook/chef experience with QSR, Cafe, and/or Bakery experience.

Pay: Starting at $24/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support kitchen setup, menu testing, and pre‑opening preparation
• Cook and prepare food following recipe cards and menu.
• Lead and train kitchen staff in a fast‑paced QSR environment
• Oversee food preparation, quality control, and kitchen operations
• Maintain inventory, manage supplies, and minimize waste
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and health standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen leadership experience (Head Chef, Kitchen Manager, etc.)
• Experience with QSR, Cafe, and Bakery experience
• ServSafe certification required
• Experience in high‑volume kitchens preferred
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
