Position: Head Cook / Kitchen Supervisor
Location: Queens, NY (Farmers Blvd & Merrick Blvd)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Pay: Starting at $24/hour DOE

NU3S is hiring a Head Cook / Kitchen Supervisor to lead a small kitchen team while working closely with our consulting chef to maintain quality standards, develop staff, and support daily operations. This hands-on leadership role combines cooking, team development, inventory management, and quality control in a fast-paced café environment.

What We're Looking For

✔ Experience as a Head Cook, Lead Cook, Kitchen Supervisor, or Kitchen Manager with hands-on cooking experience
 ✔ ServSafe Certification
 ✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
 ✔ High-volume food service experience preferred
 ✔ Café, bakery, QSR, or fast-casual experience a plus
 ✔ Ability to collaborate with a consulting chef to implement recipes, training, and operational standards

What You Will Do

Prepare and execute menu items while maintaining quality and presentation standards
Lead, support, and mentor a small kitchen team
Work alongside the consulting chef to implement kitchen standards and best practices
Train staff on food preparation, safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
Monitor food quality, portion control, and kitchen productivity
Manage inventory, ordering, and waste reduction
Maintain compliance with food safety and health regulations
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and operating efficiently
Support menu execution, specials, and process improvements
Partner with management to ensure smooth operations and an excellent guest experience
Lead by example in a fast-paced café environment
