Position Overview:

The Cafe Worker provides friendly and efficient service by assisting customers, completing orders, and supporting daily café operations. This role involves taking customer orders, operating the cash register, answering questions about menu items, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized café environment. Cafe Workers also help restock supplies, bus tables, and support the team in delivering a positive guest experience. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented food service environment.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers while providing friendly and efficient service.
• Take customer orders accurately and operate the POS system.
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items.
• Prepare and serve food, beverages, and bakery items according to company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the café.
• Restock supplies, ingredients, and café items as needed.
• Bus tables and clean up after customers.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support daily café operations.

Requirements:

• At least six months of recent food service experience required.
• Experience with food preparation and food handling procedures.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a kitchen or café environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food service setting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register, handle cash, and process customer transactions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Must have open availability and be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
