WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Golf Course Kitchen Attendant/Cafeteria Helper who will play a key role in supporting the daily food service operations of the golf course kitchen while assisting with cafeteria services as needed. This position is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for golfers, guests, staff, and school nutrition program participants.
The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of kitchen, concession, and customer service duties, including food preparation, stocking and replenishing supplies, serving food and beverages, operating concession or snack bar areas, processing customer purchases, handling cash and electronic payments, maintaining accurate sales records, and providing friendly customer service to golf course patrons. The position will also assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Support may be required during tournaments, special events, and clubhouse food service operations to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
In addition to golf course kitchen responsibilities, the employee will assist with cafeteria operations, including meal preparation, food service, cashier duties, cleaning, and sanitation procedures. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, follow established procedures, and maintain high standards of food quality, safety, cash-handling accuracy, and customer service is essential.
This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to effectively support kitchen operations and food service activities. The Golf Course Kitchen Attendant/Cafeteria Helper will work closely with supervisors, kitchen staff, customers, and students to ensure exceptional service, operational efficiency, and a positive dining experience for all guests.

Education/Certification Qualifications:
- High School or GED Preferred
- Level I TASN Certification (Basic Kitchen Sanitation & Safety preferred)
Professional Experience:
- Experience in golf course operations, grounds maintenance, customer service, food service, or a related field preferred.
- Experience assisting with daily operations, maintaining facilities and equipment, and providing customer support preferred.
- Experience handling cash transactions, operating point-of-sale systems, or assisting with inventory and supply management preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, follow safety procedures, and perform multiple duties in both golf course and cafeteria settings preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of golf course operations, customer service practices, and food service procedures.
- Ability to maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas in both golf course and cafeteria settings.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and serve high-quality food items in accordance with approved menus, recipes, and all applicable state and federal program regulations.
- Prepare, cook, and serve snack bar menu items, including burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, fries, and other food products, while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Accurately follow standardized recipes, portion-control requirements, and food production procedures.
- Safely operate and maintain food service equipment, including grills, fryers, ovens, microwaves, and other kitchen appliances.
- Monitor, record, and maintain proper food temperatures during receiving, storage, preparation, holding, and service to ensure food safety compliance.
- Coordinate food preparation and service activities to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate meal production.
- Assist with inventory management by receiving, stocking, counting, and monitoring food, beverages, and supply levels.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment in accordance with district, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and maintenance needs promptly to the supervisor.
- Properly handle, dispose of, and document food waste in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with the cleaning, washing, sanitizing, and storage of dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service equipment.
- Work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and staff to complete assigned duties safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Attend and actively participate in required meetings, in-service trainings, workshops, and professional development activities.
- Maintain a professional appearance, adhere to uniform requirements, and practice proper personal hygiene standards.
