Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cafeteria Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, and provide excellent customer service to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast and lunch meals.
• Ensure that food is prepared in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including countertops, utensils, and equipment.
• Assist in inventory management, including the receipt and storage of food supplies.
• Interact with students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Adhere to all school policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and sanitation.
• Assist with the setup and cleanup of the cafeteria before and after meal services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 35 pounds.
• Must pass a background check.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, during school hours.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special events.

Compensation:

• Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
• Benefits include paid time off, participation in the state retirement system, and eligibility for health insurance.
