QUALIFICATIONS:* Must have a ServSafe certificate.* Previous supervisory experience preferred.* Able to read and follow a recipe and convert recipes to larger and/or smaller amounts.* Prior cooking and baking experience in an institutional atmosphere.* Past experience cooking using commercial equipment.* Must have had a demonstrated good attendance record.* Able to push, pull, or lift items weighing 35 pounds* Good organizational skills.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Supervise a building's school nutrition operation and the assigned cafeteria staff.* Able to read and interpret profit/loss statement and cost out meals including food and labor costs.* Work with Director of School Nutrition to maintain food services and records pertaining to the N.S.L.P.* To use Microsoft Excel and Word computer programs to complete tasks.* Implement the new U.S.D.A. guidelines and nutritional standards using computers.* Able to read and follow menus and maintain daily production records.* Supervise and assist in the cooking and baking of the student lunch meals.* Maintain a current ServSafe certificate.* Proven ability to communicate with students, staff, administration and the public.* Demonstrated positive attitude with administrators, staff, and students.* Maintain the Corporation's high standards of nutrition, food production and service.* Work with the Director of School Nutrition and Assistant School Nutrition Director to maintain the continuity of the N.S.L.P. as it pertains to the elementary/secondary school level.* Work with the Director of School Nutrition and Assistant School Nutrition Director to maintain a sanitary work and food environment for the staff, students and administration.* Generate a weekly food and supply order and maintain proper storage of both.* Create and maintain weekly and monthly documents as required by the Director of School Nutrition.* Train cafeteria employees in the appropriate methods to prepare and distribute food.* Other responsibilities as directed by the Director of School Nutrition.MedicalDentalVisionLifePaid LeaveRetirement
