Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA 

 

We are seeking a Cafeteria Worker, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Cafeteria Attendant. The Cafeteria Worker will work in our hospital cafeteria, responsible for preparing and serving food to staff, patients, and visitors while adhering to dietary requirements and hygiene standards. The Hospital Cafeteria Attendant will maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and handle customer interactions, including processing payments and addressing concerns. Their role supports smooth food service operations and contributes to overall patient and staff wellbeing.

• Prepare and cook meals or pre-packaged food according to menu guidelines and dietary requirements 

• Serve food and beverages to customers in the cafeteria or at food stations 

• Ensure proper portion sizes and maintain a clean and attractive food presentation 

• Assist customers with meal choices, answer questions about menu items, and address dietary restrictions or preferences 

• Handle cash or operate a register for cafeteria transactions 

• Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, dining spaces, utensils, and equipment 

• Monitor food supplies and ingredients to ensure stock levels are adequate 

Qualifications:

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

County Specific requirement.

1. County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
