The Cage & Credit Operations Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, regulatory compliance, financial integrity, and operational oversight of all Cage, Vault, front money, credit applications, credit execution and related cash handling functions. This position ensures the safeguarding of gaming assets, compliance with internal controls, Tribal-State Compact requirements, Title 31/AML obligations, and applicable policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide the strategic direction, development, and performance management of cage team members.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the department budget.
  • Review credit applications, credit limits, outstanding marker balances, aging reports, collection status, and exception activity.
  • Oversee casino credit issuance, front money, collection activity, and related documentation in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
  • Review, investigate, resolve, and document Cage variances, overages/shortages, exceptions, patron disputes, audit findings, and control deficiencies.
  • Ensure custody of Cage inventory including the maintenance of all records.
  • Remedy unresolved customer challenges, issues, and complaints.
  • Develop, maintain, implement, and monitor Cage and casino cash, credithandling policies and procedures, internal controls, and departmental standards to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and protection of casino assets.
  • Develop, communicate, train and ensure staff is compliant with all policies, procedures, and internal controls including Federal anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings ensuring accurate and complete communication, training, and development.
  • Direct smooth, efficient, cost-effective operations; including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services; overseeing staffing levels in accordance with business demand. Controls labor cost and ensure budgeting guidelines are followed.
  • Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
  • Ensure Cage team members properly identify, document, and escalate Title 31/AML-related transactions and suspicious activity concerns in accordance with EQC’s BSA/AML Program.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and operational departments to evaluate, develop, and implement new products, services, technologies, systems, and process improvements that enhance Cage operations, protect casino assets, improve guest service, and support the EQC’s competitive position.

  • Protects the confidentiality of any and all Casino business information.

Minimum Qualifications:

REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
  • Ten years of gaming experience that includes cash handling and cage experience
  • Seven years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Title 31, AML, internal controls, and gaming regulatory standards.

 PREFERRED

  • Experience working with tribal entities
  • Experience managing multi-shift and/or multi-property operations preferred
  • Experience in multi-jurisdictional cage and credit operations

Additional Requirements: 

 

  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
