    Job Description

    Essential Functions

    • Provides administrative assistance and direction in the overall operation of assigned departments to ensure the most efficient and profitable operation and maintenance of high standards of quality and service.
    • Manages and directs the day-to-day operations of areas of responsibility through assigned department, leads and coaches team members in the proper performance of their duties.
    • Plans, develops, and implements revised procedures to improve the efficiency, profitability, and service-related goals of assigned areas.
    • Management of cashiering variance, exception and attendance policy and subsequent disciplinary measures
    • Plans and implements methods to improve team member satisfaction and morale.
    • Ensures training and compliance of regulatory standards. 
    • Demonstrates strong leadership, analytical and decision-making competencies.
    • The term “management” includes duties such as interviewing, training, selecting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work.
    • Establish and authorize customer credit and check authorization based upon Credit Matrix
    • Formulate and administer policies and procedures necessary to comply with accepted standards established by management, Accounting, regulatory requirements, and the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
    • Adhere to Ohio Casino Control Commission Regulations, Ohio Lottery Commission Regulations and JACK Entertainment’s credit/collections policy.
    • Monitor the collection efforts to current customer accounts or assign accounts for collection as necessary.
    • Issue reports to Senior Leadership and the finance teams on credit activity.
    • Establishes self as highly credible leader with highest levels of integrity and always acts in the best interests of the property and the company.
    • Acts as a role model and coach while developing team members using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
    • Works as a change agent and challenges the departmental processes to improve and streamline department operations, through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
    • Partners and coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated team members.
    • Recommends and implements change to improve overall team member and guest satisfaction.
    • Handles team member grievances and complaints.
    • Other job-related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Requires thorough understanding of accounting, gaming and regulatory requirements, and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
    • Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and Company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff and customers.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patron information.
    • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours).
    • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling team member conflicts.
    • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. 
    • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. 
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.
    • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. 
    • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. 
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
    • 4 year College preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible experience in Finance and Administration areas of the hotel/casino industry is required. 
    • A minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory experience required.
    • General business and accounting knowledge with broad knowledge of casino, slot and table games, rules, regulations, procedures and administration is preferred.
    • Strong organizational, managerial and communication skills are required.
    • Proven supervisory skills, primarily in the management of a large staff is a must. 
    • Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
    • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.

    Required Certification/License

    • Ability to obtain a OCCC and OLC Gaming License, and OCCC Sports Gaming License.
