The Cage Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the accuracy, security, and efficiency of all Cage operations at Live! Casino & Hotel. Your ability to guide and support team members, uphold strict regulatory and financial controls, and foster a guest‑focused culture directly contributes to a smooth and trustworthy gaming experience. Through hands‑on leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high service and compliance standards, you help protect the integrity of casino transactions while creating a safe, welcoming environment for guests and team members alike. Your oversight and partnership with senior leadership are essential to driving excellence within one of the property’s most vital operational departments.

Responsibilities:

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Keeps the Cage Director informed of any relevant information regarding Cage activities/irregularities.
  • Operates computers and machines used in the processing of all monies
  • Ensures that any unusual circumstances will be researched, documented and notified to management and/or surveillance
  • Assist with developing and managing operational budget, also assisting minimizing operating cost.
  • Must be aware of and reinforce safety and accident prevention. Must ensure team members immediately report all accidents and complete necessary accident forms.
  • Conducts initial orientation session with all new cage team members, reviewing all company and departmental policies/procedures and ensures proper training.
  • Interviews, hires, counsels, and evaluates Main Banker, Supervisors and Shift Managers.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal laws and Virginia Gaming Control Board.
  • Monitors appearance and presentation of Cage, Main Bankers, Supervisors and Shift Managers.
  • Continually evaluates Cage operations and makes recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversees weekly team member schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak volume periods and less staffing during low utilization periods.
  • Conducts frequent team member meetings with the Cage Shift Managers to review and discuss various policies and procedures, address problems and concerns, and use as a tool in building teamwork.
  • Resolves disputes that subordinate Cage Shift Managers are not able to resolve or refers the problem to the Cage Director or Human Resources if still unable to resolve.
  • Work in conjunction with Credit Department, reviewing credit activities including processing credit applications, access to sensitive information and collection of delinquent accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and mature judgement skills.
  • Typing skills and 10-Key and computer data entry skills.
  • Money handling and basic math skills.
  • Ability to be a TEAM player
Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in a casino cage operation, with prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Live’s operating standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Frequently required to push or pull up to 300 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a confined space without the ability to enter or exit freely.
  • Frequently required to stand (long periods of time), stoop, crouch or kneel.
