Calibration Technician III is a mid to upper-level technician position with a minimum of four (4) years commercial calibration experience preferred. Calibration Technicians at this level typically can calibrate, troubleshoot, and adjust higher-level equipment across a minimum of six (6) disciplines, with expert knowledge in two (2) disciplines (e.g., Electrical, Dimensional or Pressure). Proficiency and expertise are determined in accordance with Transcat’s technician skills progression matrix. A Calibration Technician III will be capable of completing work independently within the lab or onsite at a customer location, with limited or no guidance. Completion of a professional CCT or CMT certification is desired for this role.

Work Environment:
The work environment described here is representative of what an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
