Cascade Engineering Services is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Calibration Technicians to join our growing metrology and calibration team. We currently have two openings available for this position. This position is responsible for the calibration, verification, maintenance, and documentation of mechanical measurement and test equipment to ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and quality system requirements.
Candidates may be considered at the Entry, Intermediate, or Senior level based on experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated calibration expertise.
Responsibilities
Perform calibration, verification, adjustment, and preventive maintenance of mechanical measurement equipment.
Calibrate Torque tools, Force gauges, Pressure gauges, Vacuum gauges, Weights and balances
Maintain calibration standards
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of precision equipment
Collect, record, and summarize, data during calibration
Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures.
Identify equipment out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action by adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, in accordance with Cascade policies and procedures
Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
Requirements
Minimum AA degree, formal PMEL training, or equivalent
Must be able to perform general mathematical, statistical and algebraical functions
Must possess very good written and oral, communication skills
Computer skills such as use of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of Calibration/Metrology experience
Advanced knowledge of mechanical metrology and calibration methodologies.
Intermediate ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment
Familiar with ISO 17025:2017 quality systems
Prior experience supporting audits or quality systems
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Occasional standing and bending are required
Working Environment
Works primarily in an engineering laboratory or manufacturing environment at Cascade and/or customer sites
Occasional in state travel required
