Calibration Technician | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration on a wide range of measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors.
  • Document calibration results accurately and maintain detailed records in accordance with internal procedures and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning test equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment is calibrated on schedule and available for use.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration schedule for all manufacturing equipment, ensuring timely recalibration.
  • Conduct measurement system analysis (MSA) studies to evaluate the accuracy and precision of measurement equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Metrology) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience performing calibration and maintenance on various types of test and measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI Z540).
  • Proficiency in using calibration software and tools, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair precision instruments.
