Job Description Our client is seeking an experienced California Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to join their growing Claims team. This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing indemnity claims from inception through resolution while ensuring compliance with California Workers' Compensation laws and regulations. This is a fully remote, temp-to-perm opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of California Workers' Compensation claims from inception through resolution. Investigate claims, determine compensability, establish reserves, and develop appropriate claim strategies. Coordinate with injured workers, employers, attorneys, medical providers, and vocational professionals throughout the life of the claim. Review medical records, wage information, and legal documentation to evaluate claim exposure and determine appropriate benefits. Negotiate settlements and work closely with defense counsel on litigated claims. Maintain timely and accurate claim documentation within the claims management system. Ensure compliance with California Workers' Compensation statutes, regulations, and company claim handling guidelines. Requirements:
3-5+ years of California Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner experience required.
Strong knowledge of California Workers' Compensation laws, regulations, and benefit administration.
Must reside in California
Experience handling indemnity and litigated California Workers' Compensation claims. Excellent organizational, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to independently manage a full caseload in a remote environment. Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. SIP certification preferred but not required. Salary & Benefits:
$45.00 – $55.00 per hour, depending on experience
