Position Summary:
Call-In Substitute Teachers provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher. Substitutes are responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while following the lesson plans and school procedures provided. This position is on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Report to assigned school location on time and check in with the main office.
Review and implement lesson plans left by the classroom teacher.
Provide instruction and maintain classroom routines to ensure continuity of learning.
Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies fairly and consistently.
Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and other settings as assigned.
Communicate any issues, concerns, or feedback to school administration.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the daily operations of the school.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or teacher certification preferred).
Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Flexibility and dependability to accept assignments on short notice.
Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Schedule:
As needed, based on school needs.
Hours may vary depending on the assignment.
Compensation:
Daily rate of $130 (full-day assignment).
