Position Summary
Equipment Company is seeking a Camera Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install sewer inspection camera systems and related electronic equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our CCTV pipeline inspection systems remain operational and ready for customer use. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical systems and enjoy hands-on diagnostic and repair work. This role is primarily based in a climate-controlled service lab, with occasional work performed in the equipment shop to install, test, or service camera systems mounted on sewer inspection equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair sewer inspection camera systems and related equipment
Troubleshoot video, lighting, communication, and power-related issues
Repair or replace wiring, connectors, circuit boards, cameras, LED lighting systems, and electronic components
Use multimeters, electrical test equipment, and diagnostic tools to identify system failures
Test repaired equipment to verify proper operation before deployment
Install and service camera systems on inspection trucks and crawler equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on camera and inspection systems
Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation
Coordinate with service technicians and operations personnel on equipment status
Order and track parts as needed for repairs
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in electronics repair, industrial maintenance, equipment service, telecommunications, military electronics, or a related field
Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Experience troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems
Experience using handheld electrical testing equipment
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools
Computer skills sufficient to perform diagnostics and maintain repair records
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
