Come and join Professional Development for their upcoming 24th Annual Ren Camp! Spend eight weeks in and out of doors, exploring new ways to learn and have fun with campers while enhancing your resume by helping instructors and learning how to work with children in rising grades 1-6, with one week being dedicated to working with teens in rising grades 8-10. This role requires Camp Counselors to have supervisory and leadership skills, a willingness to travel on foot outdoors as well as for field trips, and flexibility for all the little surprises that accompany children.
East Tennessee State University's Office of Professional Development is seeking Tennessee's up-and-coming teachers, or anyone who is enthusiastic about working with children, to come and join Professional Development for their upcoming 24th Annual Ren Camp!
Spend eight weeks in and out of doors, exploring new ways to learn and have fun with campers while enhancing your resume by helping instructors and learning how to work with children in rising grades 1-6, with one week being dedicated to working with teens in rising grades 8-10. This role requires Camp Counselors to have supervisory and leadership skills, a willingness to travel on foot outdoors as well as for field trips, and flexibility for all the little surprises that accompany children. Professional Development would also prefer if applicants had previous work experience with children as well as skills in conflict resolution and deescalation.
Camps run June 1st - July 31st, with the exception of the week of July 6th. There are daily activities from 7:45am - 5:00pm, and each shift worked is 8 hours long with a one-hour lunch break.
