  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and fun camp culture for all participants.

  • Assist in behavior support, conflict resolution, and promoting positive social interaction.

  • Collaborate with fellow counselors, nurses, and program staff to ensure camper safety and well-being.

  • Support setup, cleanup, and transitions between activities and meals.

  • Be an energetic leader, a caring companion, and a dependable team member.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Ability to work weekend shifts (typically Friday evening to Sunday afternoon)

  • Passion for working with individuals with disabilities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor!

  • Ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting, transfers, and mobility support

Preferred:

  • Experience working with youth or individuals with disabilities (camp, school, recreation, etc.)

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • Background in special education, social work, psychology, or recreational therapy

What We Offer

  • A fun, active, and meaningful part-time opportunity

  • All meals provided during weekend shifts

  • Supportive, team-oriented environment with training included

  • The chance to build lifelong connections - with campers and fellow staff

  • Resume-building experience in disability services, education, healthcare, and more

  • A job that feeds the soul (and includes s'mores!)
