About This Role
The purpose of this position is to support the College of Agriculture's enrollment goals by coordinating and leading departmental campus visits for prospective students and their families. This includes developing and conducting tours tailored to student interests, collaborating with faculty to showcase academic programs, facilities, and research opportunities, and ensuring a high-quality, personalized experience. The position works closely with the departmental team, the college recruiting staff, and the Office of Recruitment and Admissions to coordinate on-campus visit experiences, maintain consistent messaging and branding, and avoid duplication of recruitment efforts.
In addition to on-campus engagement, the position represents the department at local and state outreach events, such as 4H and FFA activities, providing soft recruitment and building awareness of departmental programs. On occasion, and infrequently, this position may travel out of state to attend recruitment events or activities that are specific to the academic major(s) the coordinator supports. The coordinator also supports or helps develop departmental summer camps for high school and junior high students, facilitating faculty participation and program activities. This role oversees ordering and maintaining inventory of departmental recruitment materials and resources to ensure events and visits are well-supported.
The position is cross-trained to assist with college-wide recruiting events and group visits as needed, including large-scale recruitment initiatives, and may provide limited support for college- and department-level engagement events and programs on an as-needed basis. By serving as a central point of contact for departmental recruitment, coordinating with faculty and ORA partners, and supporting both on-campus and outreach activities, the Campus Recruitment Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing student engagement, promoting departmental programs, and strengthening the College of Agriculture's overall recruitment efforts. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Recruitment
