Description
Grays Harbor College is now accepting applications for a Campus Safety and Security Coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for the public safety and security concerns on the Colleges main campus and off campus education centers. The Coordinator ensures college policies related to safety, security and parking are enforced, and works with campus departments to promote compliance with safety, security and parking rules and regulations. The Coordinator acts as the college liaison to outside agencies which include: local police and fire departments; city and county emergency services coordinating agencies; and other state and federal agencies for emergency coordination and training, as well as safety and compliance issues. This position reports to the Director of Facilities and Operations. Typical hours for this position will be 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM with flexibility to be on call nights and weekends.

Do you have a Bachelor's degree in related field AND one year of campus safety and security, law enforcement, or public safety experience OR an associate's degree in related field AND three years of campus safety and security, law enforcement, or public safety experience?

Do you have training and/or experience with emergency services, emergency response planning, as well as vulnerability and threat assessment?

Do you have skills in communication and human relations with populations having diverse backgrounds?

Do you possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving record?

Do you have valid first aid/CPR/AED certifications? Or the ability to get them prior to employment?
