Hartford Union High School has a part-time Campus Support Assistant. The position will provide for the safety, security, and preventive and proactive relationships with students. They monitor entrances/exits and other areas of the building, assist in the Secure Entrance, assist with emergency procedures, maintain positive order, protect students, and assist students in need. In emergency situations, they act as "first responders" inside the building. They establish positive and accountable relationships with students. They work closely with the Administration team and Police School Liaison Officer to maintain safety, security, and order in and around the building. A requirement of the position is to chaperone/supervise co-curricular events outside the regular workday hours.
Supervises students and visitor activities
Work hours may include the following shifts:
a. 6:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
b. 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
c. Flexible scheduling
Education and/or Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge and/or experience in building safety and security
Experience working with high school age (or equivalent) students
Training and/or certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred
