Candidate Engagement Coordinator

Overview:

Cambrian Homecare, LLC has been providing compassionate, flexible, and personalized in-home care services since 1996, helping seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities live independently in the comfort of their homes.  

 

We are seeking a compassionate, capable, and dependable Full-Time Candidate Engagement Coordinator to join our team at our corporate office in Long Beach. The Candidate Engagement Coordinator plays an essential role in growing the Cambrian team by interviewing, evaluating, and identifying qualified caregivers who share our commitment to providing exceptional care. This position guides candidates through the hiring process, ensuring each individual receives a smooth, timley, and supportive experience from initial contact to onboarding.

Responsibilities:

Candidate Outreach & Engagement

• Proactively reach out out to caregiver applicants via phone, text, and email acoording to company standards and guidelines.
• Clearly communicate the role expectations, qualifications, and company values to build rapport and interest.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and warmth to reflect our service-focused culture
• Assist incoming callers inquiring about caregiver positions or requesting updates in the candidate process.

Conducting Phone Interviews

• Perform phone interviews to access candidate fit based on experience, availability, and alignment with company values.
• Accuratley document interview responses and next steps in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Recommend qualified candidates for the next stages in the hiring process.
• Create an engaging phone experience for the candidate.

Follow-up & Pipeline Management

• Maintain consistent follow-up with applicants to ensure completion of hiring steps (e.g., background checks, documentation, orientation).
• Coordinate with eligible candidates to schedule orientation training.
• Update candidate statuses in the ATS and communicate with internal teams regarding candidate progress.
• Collaborate with internal departments on urgent needs and areas of focus.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in recruitment, cusomter service, or a related field (healthcare/home care experience a plus)
• Excellent phone and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize deadlines
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Strong computer and multitasking skills
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in helping people
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and CRM tools a plus
• Bilingual spanish a plus

General requirements:

• 18+ years old
• US work authorization
• Ability to pass a background and reference check
• Valid Driver's License and reliable tranportation
