Candle Technician (Entry Level)

SEA, Ltd. is hiring for our Candle Testing Lab! This is a temporary to permanent role with full-time hours (4 days per week, 10 hours per day). The ideal candidates for these roles will enjoy working on their feet and will understand that this is a high fragrance environment. Pay is $19/hr.Please note that the hours for this opportunity are as follows: Sunday-Wednesday: 3:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.Sunday- Wednesday: 4:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Un-boxes, weighs and logs of product test samples as they arrivePerforms sample setup in testing labTests, observes and documents test samples in accordance with required protocolsPerforms general housekeeping in the lab (cleaning wax off testing shelves and floor, cleaning HVAC filters, replacement of burn surfaces)Analyzes soot collection targetsConducts flash-point testingPhotographs test samplesCatalogs, stores and disposes of test samplesPosition Requirements:Strong organizational, observation, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skillsBasic knowledge of Excel and AccessHigh school diploma** This will be an in-laboratory opportunity (not remote)***MUST be able to handle strong and continuous fragrances*Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 50 lbsAbility to climb a ladderAbility to stand for 4+ hours per dayAbility to handle exposure to high fragrance odorsS-E-A places a strong value on employee health and wellness across the company.
