Our sweetest department at our Massapequa store is currently seeking a Candy Lead to guide and inspire our Candy team. This full-time role is ideal for an enthusiastic, customer-focused leader who enjoys creating memorable experiences in a fun, inviting environment. The Candy Lead will play a key role in enhancing the overall customer experience by delivering exceptional service, supporting team members, and maintaining an appealing and well-organized department.
Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all Candy Store customers
Lead, interview, hire, train, and develop team members within the Candy Department
Operate registers, stock merchandise, and prepare customer pickup orders
Oversee candy decorating and visual presentation to ensure an attractive shopping experience
Manage ordering, inventory control, equipment cleanliness, department sanitation, and overall appearance
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of customer service experience in the food industry; Candy Store experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
Ability to listen attentively and communicate in a professional, friendly manner
Commitment to food safety, equipment safety, and maintaining a clean work environment
Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Capable of keeping supplies replenished to minimize downtime
Proven ability to build rapport with team members and lead by example

Working Conditions
Continuous movement on hard surfaces; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and handling merchandise
