Kforce has a client that is seeking a Capacity Planner in Corvallis, OR. Overview: Drive Complex Manufacturing Operations: Join a high-impact team where you will play a key role in planning, forecasting, and delivering advanced manufacturing programs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working cross-functionally, and influencing how products move from concept to production. As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for managing the full delivery lifecycle-from forecast to fulfillment-ensuring the right materials are available, production is optimized, and customer demand is met. Key Responsibilities: Planning & Forecasting:
  • Develop and publish build plans based on production demand and capacity
  • Partner with Industrial Engineering to align on capabilities and constraints
  • Balance demand forecasts with inventory, lead times, and supply variability
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify risks (shortages, excess, obsolescence)
Order & Supply Management:
  • Coordinate material purchasing and track incoming shipments
  • Ensure production orders are fulfilled on time and aligned to plan
  • Partner cross-functionally to support downstream manufacturing needs
Operations Support:
  • Work directly with operations and engineering teams to support production flow
  • Lead material escalations and help resolve supply or production issues
  • Contribute to staffing and shift planning for optimal line performance
  • Support transitions from R&D into production environments
Reporting & Business Insights:
  • Track and report on key metrics (inventory position, demand vs. supply, cost impacts)
  • Provide visibility into risks, changes, and program performance to leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
  • Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
