A leading middle-market investment bank or advisory firm may seek a Capital Advisory to Buy-Side Analyst to support deal origination, capital raising, and investment evaluation. This role provides exposure to capital advisory engagements, M&A execution, and portfolio-level investment analysis, giving candidates a strong foundation for buy-side careers.
Support senior bankers and portfolio managers in evaluating investment opportunities, capital structures, and transaction outcomes
Build and maintain financial models, including 3-statement, DCF, LBO, and leveraged transaction analysis
Conduct industry research, market benchmarking, and valuation studies to support both capital advisory and buy-side investment decisions
Assist in the preparation of pitch books, investment memoranda, and client/investor presentations
Participate in live M&A, capital raising, and restructuring engagements
Collaborate with deal teams to provide analytics and insights on portfolio investments and potential acquisitions
Organize data rooms, track deal flow, and support due diligence processes
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, capital advisory, private equity, asset management, or corporate finance is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research tools
