A leading middle-market investment bank or corporate advisory team may seek a Capital Allocation Analyst – IB to support strategic deployment of capital, investment evaluation, and transaction advisory. Build and maintain financial models to support capital allocation decisions, including 3-statement, DCF, LBO, and scenario analyses
Analyze investment opportunities, assess ROI, and evaluate risk-adjusted returns
Conduct industry research, benchmarking, and valuation analyses to inform capital deployment
Prepare reports, pitch books, and presentations summarizing recommended capital allocation strategies
Support due diligence and data analysis for M&A, strategic investments, and restructuring engagements
Collaborate with senior bankers and cross-functional teams to evaluate strategic options and optimize capital deployment
Monitor portfolio performance and update financial projections to reflect investment outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, transaction-focused environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or FP&A is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, etc.)
