Capital Development Mentors are a key tier of our ecosystem—providing strategic, high-touch guidance to sponsors, funds, and investors while benefiting from both earning opportunities and enhanced credibility across our network.
Initio Sphere is onboarding Capital Development Mentors to provide strategic, operational, and capital-market guidance to fund managers, investors, and deal sponsors.
This is an independent contractor role. Mentors operate through a verification and approval process rather than traditional employment. Once approved, Capital Development Mentors:
Advise on fund formation, capital raising, deal structuring, and operational strategy
Mentor analysts and deal scouts, building internal capacity and credibility
Access curated deal flow, earning opportunities, and platform-driven exposure
Build a verified Advisor Track Record within the ecosystem
Ideal candidates are experienced operators, ex-investment bankers, fund managers, or senior consultants with a proven record of closing capital transactions or leading investment initiatives.
Approved Capital Development Mentors may:
Advise fund managers on capital strategy, LP engagement, and fundraising positioning
Support deal sponsors with structuring, diligence oversight, and negotiation strategy
Mentor analysts and deal scouts on modeling, diligence, and transaction execution
Provide portfolio advisory services, operational insights, and value creation guidance
Participate in curated introductions with institutional investors or co-investors
Mentors focus on high-level strategic guidance and relationship-driven deal activation. Day-to-day modeling or transactional execution is not required unless specifically approved.
Fund formation, capital raising, and LP communications
Deal structuring, investment committee support, and transaction strategy
Operational or portfolio company advisory
Mentorship and technical training for analysts and scouts
Investor relations and network strategy
Approval is granted based on experience, track record, and demonstrated ability to advise on real transactions.
Independent contractor engagement
Hourly rates: $200–$500, based on experience, track record, and engagement scope
Transaction-based incentives may be earned for advisory on closed deals
Payments issued after successful completion of advisory milestones or deal closure
No cap on earning potential for consistently high-value contributions
Submit a Capital Development Mentor application, including background, track record, and deal history
Complete verification and category approval
Get promoted within the Initio Sphere platform
Begin working with funds, sponsors, and analysts on approved engagements
This ensures selectivity, credibility, and direct access to real opportunities.
Capital Development Mentors do not:
Provide investment advice to the public
Solicit securities
Market investments outside of approved channels
Represent Initio Sphere in a regulated capacity
All advisory work must comply with applicable securities laws and focus on strategic guidance, mentoring, and deal support.
Ex-investment bankers, private equity, venture capital, or senior fund executives with proven transaction experience
Experienced operators or founders with strong deal networks
Senior advisors who can mentor and elevate analysts and scouts
Professionals seeking high-touch advisory roles with transaction exposure
Direct access to fund managers, investors, and live deal flow
Monetize expertise without traditional employment constraints
