Job Description

We are seeking a Capital Equipment Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team in Lisle, IL. This is a hands-on role building custom equipment used in healthcare environments across the country. Unlike high-volume production assembly, each project is customized to meet a customer's unique space and operational requirements.

The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. This role works closely with a small team of experienced assemblers to build, test, and troubleshoot equipment that meets exceptionally high quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble custom capital equipment and related systems
  • Install and connect mechanical, plumbing, and electrical components
  • Follow assembly instructions, layouts, and build specifications
  • Test, inspect, and troubleshoot completed equipment
  • Identify potential design or functionality issues and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with team members to complete custom projects efficiently and accurately
  • Maintain high quality standards throughout the assembly process
  • Support packaging, shipping, and final equipment preparation
  • Occasionally assist with customer-site troubleshooting or service needs when required

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, industrial maintenance, equipment installation, field service, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or related trades
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to solve problems and think through custom equipment builds
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Pride in craftsmanship and attention to detail
  • Customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team environment
