Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Capital Forecasting Analyst to join their team in Des Moines, IA!
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you'll run and maintain capital forecasting and actuarial/projection models, freeing up senior team members to focus on higher-level strategic projects. It's an excellent opportunity to deepen your capital planning expertise while working alongside experienced leaders in the space.
Responsibilities:-
Serve as a core analyst on the Capital team, supporting day-to-day forecasting and planning work.

Run, maintain, and execute the capital forecasting model and actuarial/projection model.

Support capital forecasting and capital planning initiatives, including projection assumption (PA) work.

Execute assigned tasks and deliverables under the direction of senior team leads.

Pick up new processes quickly and become a reliable, consistent contributor to the team's workflow.
Qualifications:-
5+ years of focused experience in capital forecasting, capital planning, or capital management (insurance industry background required).

Depth in a single function candidates with sustained experience in capital planning are strongly preferred over those with broad but scattered exposure across investment accounting, middle office, and similar areas.

Solid understanding of how capital and forecasting models work, with some exposure to actuarial-style modeling.

Working knowledge of risk-based capital (RBC) frameworks and NAIC ratings/requirements.

Strong Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications:-
Actuarial training or progress toward actuarial exams (credentialed actuary not required).

Background in FP&A, corporate finance, earnings forecasting, or treasury at an insurance company.

Enthusiasm for building a career in insurance capital/treasury.
Pay Rate: $70- $90/hr
