Software Developer - Technical Support

Location: Dallas, TX

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 7 months (with possibility of extension)
  • Pay Rate: $70.00 $85.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM; standard 37.5 hrs/week (possible overtime)

Job Summary

This is a Software Developer / Technical Support role supporting the Mortgage Capital Markets (MCM) platform within the GBME Fixed Income US Dallas business group. The focus will be on the integration between upstream and downstream systems. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about MCM and about commercial real estate finance.

  • Working closely with IT Senior Manager and other developers
  • Interaction with business team to gather requirements

Required Skills

  • 8 years of experience designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale applications with complex integrations (experience with modern programming languages such as Java and/or Python; developing and consuming Web Services and APIs)
  • 4 years of experience with data technologies and databases, including one or more of the following: PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, with the ability to work comfortably with large datasets (experience writing, reading, and executing SQL scripts)
  • 2 years of experience with front-end technologies including Angular, React, and JavaScript
  • 4 years of experience with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins
  • 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure or GCP, and Kubernetes
  • 3 years of experience with test automation (includes SRE monitoring and synthetic monitoring)
  • Communication skills
  • Strong team player

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working in mortgage capital markets
  • Experience using job scheduling and orchestration tools such as CRON, Tidal, or Airflow
  • Experience using application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Dynatrace for performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident analysis
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with a solid understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Important Notes

  • Interview process: 2 rounds with a technical assessment prior to the 1st interview. Technical assessment will be sent to selected candidates; they will be invited to the first interview based on results.
  • 1st round: IT Manager 1 hour Teams Video technical/design related questions
  • 2nd round: Business Team & IT Manager 1.5 hours in-person technical questions
