A Typical Day:

The Capital Markets Analyst supports the Financial Modeling, Credit, and
Enterprise Risk teams with Python-based data work, junior-level statistical
modeling for finance and risk, and clear recommendations for business partners.
You will pull and clean data, help run and interpret models, automate recurring
analysis.

 

The Capital Markets Analyst will:

 

• Write Python scripts to pull, clean, and analyze data for recurring and ad-hoc requests; automate reporting where it saves time
• Help build, run, and interpret statistical models used in credit, risk or financial modeling (regression, classification, basic validation, and sensitivity checks)
• Query data with SQL, work in a Linux or Windows development environment, and keep analysis reproducible with scripts, Git, and documented steps
• Use AI coding tools to move faster, while remaining responsible for the correctness of the code and the results
• Translate findings into recommendations and leadership-ready materials
• Partner with business colleagues and Application Development on process specifications when analysis needs to become a production workflow

What You’ll Bring:

Required

• 1+ years of relevant work experience in analytics, data, risk, finance, or software
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and scripting (for example, polars or duckdb-style wrangling, functions, and readable code)
• Foundational statistical modeling for finance or risk: regression and classification, interpreting coefficients and errors, and basic model checks
• Dev hygiene: SQL, Git, comfort on the Linux or Windows command line, and the ability to debug and document your work
• Structured problem-solving and clear written and verbal recommendations
• Comfort using AI coding assistants while still owning correctness

 

Preferred

• Background in Finance, Statistics, Math, or a related field
• Familiarity with mortgage banking or mortgage-related regulation
• Exposure to credit risk, prepayment, or capital-markets models
• Experience with notebooks plus scripted or scheduled jobs

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

• Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
• Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role 
• Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role 

 

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. 

 

Salary: $65,000 - $100,000 Work Model: OFFICE
