Capital Markets, Sr. Analyst

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

EnFin is a financial services company that provides financing for residential solar PV and energy efficiency upgrades, backed by the PV panel manufacturer, Qcells. Through its extensive dealer network, EnFin offers consumers a variety of loan and TPO (“third-party owned”) products that help to make the purchase of an energy system more affordable. EnFin funds its business by selling and/or pledging residential solar receivables to complex funding vehicles.  These vehicles are funded by 3rd party investors that include large asset managers, investment banks, and insurance companies. 

EnFin is looking for an energetic team member to join the Structured Finance team. The Senior Analyst will assist in modelling, structuring, negotiating, and executing transactions with institutional investors, warehouse financing providers, tax equity and tax credit buyer, and develop expertise in areas such as debt financing, securitization, strategic finance, project finance, tax equity, financial modeling, interest rate risk management. The ideal team member will have direct experience or a strong base of knowledge in financial services, strong analytical modelling and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple workstreams, and an appetite and aptitude for complex financial structures. 

This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the Capital Markets strategy to bolster the company’s expansion in the residential lending sector. 

• Develop and own project finance models for tax equity and back-leverage facilities, with a strong grasp of partnership flip structures, ITC recapture risk, and ABS/term financing in the context of residential solar portfolios. 

• Foster external relationships with capital providers and internal relationships with credit, product, and operations units to ensure an unparalleled investor journey. 

• Manage 3rd party deliverables with rating agencies, accountants, independent engineers, insurance consultants, appraisers, and investment tax credit insurance providers. 

• Aid in implementing the company's Asset and Liability Management (ALM) approach, emphasizing interest rate risk containment and adept funding & liquidity operations. 

• Proactively identify and implement opportunities to embed AI tools, machine learning techniques, and automation into day-to-day analytical workflows. 

• Offer prompt and informed analytical support to aid the company's strategy formulation and high-level determinations in a dynamic business landscape. 

• Embrace a culture of intellectual curiosity and collaboration to ensure collective growth in domain expertise. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering or related quantitative field. 

• 2+ years in structured finance, private credit, investment banking, or related capital markets role with a focus in modelling. 

• Basic understanding of consumer lending, credit underwriting, project finance structures and consumer asset backed securities (ABS) markets. 

• Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Python, R, and/or SQL for automating workflows, and building robust analytical models. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master's degree or certification in finance, economics, business intelligence, analytics, or a related field. 

• Passion for renewable energy finance. 

COMPENSATION: 

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is: 

• Zone 1 (Bay Area, NYC): $135,400 - $148,900  

• Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $124,100 - $136,500  

• Zone 3 (All others): $112,800 - $124,100 

The applicable salary range is based on the employee’s primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
