Job Title: Capital Projects Manager
Location: 1141 County Rd 4, Clovis, NM 88101
Duration: 24 Months
Pay Rate: $48.08/hr on W2 (including all benefits)
Shift: 8AM-5PM Mon-Fri
Summary: Strong preference for qualified candidates who can manage both office-based project work and field-based construction activities.
The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for leading the execution of a large-scale capital project (~$36M) within a dairy manufacturing facility. You will ensure successful delivery from concept through commissioning while maintaining strict food safety, environmental, and safety compliance. As the Project Manager you will lead cross-functional teams and contractors to integrate new systems with minimal disruption to production.
Essential Functions " Lead end-to-end execution of capital project including design, procurement, construction, and startup. " Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives " Manage contractor safety programs and enforce OSHA and EPA compliance standards. " Manage contractors, vendors, and OEMs to ensure quality and schedule adherence. " Track project budget (~$36M), manage forecasts, and control costs. " Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. " Change Management of all scope, documents, drawings " Integrate the Project Team with the Plant Readiness Team to ensure smooth transition from project work to operations.
Qualifications " Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Food), Project Management or related field. " 5+ years of capital project experience in dairy or food manufacturing. " Experience managing large projects ($20M+). " Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera. " Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment- Position is based entirely onsite at the Clovis facility.
- Expected work breakdown:
- Approximately 60% office-based work.
- Approximately 40% field work within an active construction environment.
- Candidate will have a dedicated workspace in a shared office environment with engineering staff.
